Designers, painters, artists in general receive inspiration for
their works of art in many different ways. A source book is a
compilation of photos, paintings, articles, ads and other visual
materials. These images can be from all eras of time and span various cultures and settings. Artists will then draw inspiration from various materials in their source books to help create a mood for their work.
I chose this photo from the Cirque du Soleil because of the vibrant colors and the attitude of the characters. This picture can have many meanings, which is what makes it a good example of a photo you may find in an artists source book.
